Medical Students Cultural Exchange program
Similar to past years, Luke Christian Medical Mission is organizing and sponsoring a Medical Students Cultural Exchange (MSCE) program in Taiwan this summer and invites you to consider applying to serve as a teaching assistant (TA).
The camp: MSCE is a one-week summer camp held in Sanzhi, Taiwan (north of Taipei) at Mackay Medical College. LCMM is sending a team of 20 American students preparing for or already pursuing training in healthcare fields to serve as camp TAs. An additional 40-50 camp participants are Taiwanese college students similarly pursuing training for healthcare careers. The camp itself involves presentations from both U.S. and Taiwanese students regarding culture and healthcare in their respective countries as well as various activities to foster relationships. In addition, the American TAs will share regarding their Christian faith to the Taiwanese students through morning Bible studies, breakfast testimonies, a praise night event, and other less structured opportunities for friendly conversation.
This year’s camp will take place July 11-18, 2016 with a service internship in rural Taiwan for the following week, July 19-24, 2016.
Deadline: Applications should be submitted by March 15, 2016. For more information regarding MSCE, including funds that need to be raised, please see the MSCE website.
